The recruitment process
Our graduate application, which opens on 6th October, is entirely online and
very straightforward.
- Register your personal details.
- Attach your CV.
- Complete our seven assessment questions which are not timed but must all
be completed in one session; you can not save and return.
- Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed by our resourcing
team. We review applications submitted on a weekly basis and expect to get
back to you a week after the closing date at the latest, to let you know
whether you have been shortlisted for the next stage.
- Closing date for graduate applications will be 21st November 2008.
- If successful, we’ll ask you to come in and see us for a 30-minute interview.
- The final stage is an assessment centre which will be held in December.
- We aim to make all offers before Christmas.
Assessment centre
What happens at an assessment centre?
An assessment centre is an excellent opportunity to gain an insight into life
at Schroders. You will have the chance talk to managers as well as recent graduates
– and have all of your questions answered. Our assessment centre usually runs
from 9am – 2.30pm. This is the usual running order:
- opening presentation from a senior manager at Schroders
- numerical/verbal reasoning tests
- further interviews with managers
- lunch, with the opportunity to meet graduates and managers
- group case studies/presentation.
