Internship programme overview
Our 10-week Summer Internship programme will provide you with a fantastic introduction to Investment Management, whichever area of our business you eventually decide to join. It’s also a great way to secure a full-time job after you graduate. Of the 18 interns who joined us in summer 2007, 11 now work for Schroders on a permanent basis.
We invest heavily in our Internship programme to make sure it’s one of the best around. As well as a detailed introduction to fund management, you can expect the kind of technical and interpersonal skills training that will prepare you for entry into any graduate scheme in our industry.
The work is designed to be challenging and useful. You will be experiencing real responsibility on projects that add significant value to our business. One of these will be an Intern Group project, which you’ll present back to senior members of the business at the end of your 10 weeks.
Throughout the programme, you’ll also have the chance to attend a wide range of networking events. These will range from social activities with other interns to informal lunch meetings with Schroders employees and managers. Past interns have told us these conversations were an excellent way to get under the skin of the business. They’re also an invaluable opportunity to talk to experienced professionals about your interests and possible directions for your future career.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for ambitious self-starters who have a genuine passion for investment management. As long as you can demonstrate your interest in this field, and you’re strong academically, you could be from any degree discipline and year of study. We also consider applications from graduates.
