The programme provides fantastic opportunities to meet people from all areas of the business and understand their job roles. It is a great way to network, and learn where your abilities and interests could be best utilised. I have been involved in an exciting change project, moving Schroders to the cutting edge of the investment sector. My responsibilities are wide ranging, touching many areas of the business, looking at both small details and the bigger picture.
The culture is progressive and forward thinking, people are friendly and keen to help you succeed. The business has clear goals and colleagues are keen to ensure you are involved in meeting these targets.

There are lots of things that make being a placement student at Schroders a great opportunity. On the social side, the large number of interns and placement students made the whole experience really enjoyable - and helped me find my feet very quickly. It was easy for us to get to know each other and those ‘scary first proper job’ feelings soon disappeared. There’s a strong and integrated team culture too, and on my particular project I found a highly co-operative atmosphere with everyone working closely together to deliver results.
Another good thing about working at Schroders is the opportunity to gain meaningful work experience: the responsibilities I was given made me feel like I was doing a worthwhile job that had a major impact on the success of the project.
