Investment – Programme Overview

Your first step is to join us as a research associate or junior portfolio manager, spending two years working closely with a senior analyst/portfolio manager as you progress through your formal development programme. This is all about learning the ‘tools of the trade’ while gaining valuable market experience. As part of this, you will study and sit for the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

On joining the Investment department itself, you’ll undertake our leading two-year “Research Development Programme” as you work towards Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification. Support and training facilities for the CFA are excellent, which is clearly reflected in the exceptionally high pass rates of recent graduates.

Your next career step (usually taken between two and five years) is to progress to senior analyst or portfolio manager.  At any stage, there will be the possibility of moving to a different part of the business either in London or overseas.
